| Applications are now available for both the Student Group Activities Committee and the Budget Committee, the two standing committees of the Student Union Treasury. On the application, you will find a short description of each of the committees, as well as contact information for the Committee Chairs. Please do not hesitate to contact them with any questions! Applications should be returned to sgac@wustl.edu (for SGAC applications) or budget@wustl.edu (for BC applications) by January 25, 2008, at 5pm, and note that applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis (meaning once the seats are filled, we will no longer consider new applications). | 2007-2008 Carryforward | 09.14.2007 |
| Every year Student Union recollects unspent funds from student group operating accounts and from this money the annual carryforward is created. This year's carryforward amount totaled $130,795.54. So far we have used this account to add $7,000.00 to the Collegiate Newspaper Readership resulting in more papers campus wide. Additionally, the money has been used to secure student group space in the new 560 Building on the Loop. Lastly, the remainder of the carryforward will be set aside to furnish group spaces in the new University Center. | Although Senate elections are November 7th and 8th, we are pleased to announce that we have a few open Senate seats that we will appoint students to fill. We have two open Student Union Senate seats for the College of Arts and Sciences and one open seat for the College of Architecture. Please e-mail Carson Smith, Speaker of the Senate for more information on how to apply for the seats. You must be in the specific school the seat represents in order to apply for it. |
